AppPin Privacy Policy
AppPin is a tool for discovering, saving, organizing, and tracking App Store app information. We do not currently operate our own server, provide our own account system, or intentionally collect information that directly identifies you.
1. Information We Process
To provide favorites, folders, notes, recent views, price tracking, version tracking, and related features, AppPin may store the following information locally on your device:
- Apps you save, App Store links, folder names, notes, and grouping information.
- Download markers, organization status, and other local management information you add.
- Tracking preferences, such as price change, version update, or rating change preferences.
- Recent views, last sync time, and similar information used to improve the local app experience and show sync status.
This information is stored on your device by default. AppPin does not upload it to a server operated by us.
2. Network Requests and Third-Party Services
AppPin accesses public services provided by Apple to search for apps, show charts, retrieve app details, and refresh tracking information. These requests may include necessary parameters such as search keywords you enter, app identifiers, region codes, and similar query information. Apple's privacy policy governs Apple's processing of that data.
If you choose to use iCloud sync, your saved app data may be stored in the iCloud space associated with your Apple ID. Apple provides the storage, sync, and security mechanisms for iCloud.
When you send an App Store link to AppPin through the iOS share sheet, AppPin reads the shared link or text to identify the target app and save it to your library. The main app and share extension may share the necessary favorites snapshot through the system-provided App Group container.
AppPin uses the following third-party libraries or SDKs:
- Alamofire: used to make network requests so AppPin can access Apple's public services. Alamofire itself does not receive or store your data as an independent third-party service.
- SnapKit: used to build app interface layouts. SnapKit does not collect, transmit, or store personal information.
- Tencent Bugly SDK: used to detect and fix crashes and improve app stability. Bugly may collect diagnostic information when the app crashes or encounters an exception, such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, exception stack traces, network status, and device identifiers generated by Bugly for stability analysis. We do not use Bugly for advertising, ad tracking, or user profiling. Bugly's handling of this information is described in the Bugly SDK Privacy Statement.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, phone number, government ID, contacts, precise location, or other sensitive personal information.
- We do not integrate advertising tracking, and we do not sell or share your personal data with advertising networks.
- We do not currently use third-party analytics SDKs to track your in-app behavior; Bugly is used only for crash and stability diagnostics, while Alamofire and SnapKit are used only as implementation libraries.
4. How We Use Data
AppPin uses local data only to provide app features, including displaying your saved apps, maintaining folders, recording notes and recent views, marking downloaded apps, refreshing price or version changes, saving apps quickly from the share extension, and syncing through iCloud when you choose to do so.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it in AppPin, uninstall the app, or clear app data through system settings. If you use iCloud sync, related data may remain in your iCloud space, and you can manage or delete it through iCloud settings, file management, or other methods provided by Apple.
6. Children's Privacy
AppPin is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's information has been saved or synced by mistake, please contact us using the information below.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features, legal requirements, or App Store requirements. When we update the policy, we will revise the effective date on this page. For material changes, we will try to provide notice in the app or on the App Store page when appropriate.
